Quartz Mountain and the Southwest Opry have teamed up to bring you a Branson experience right here in Southwest Oklahoma. Sponsored by Gator’s Western Wear, the Quartz Mountain Southwest Opry is held at the beautiful, Quartz Mountain Lodge and Resort. This show is jam-packed with traditional Country, Gospel, and Patriotic music, a live band, comedy, and a variety of talented performers.

Becoming known as one of Oklahoma’s favorite music shows, the Quartz Mountain Southwest Opry (formerly known as Mikayla Jo’s SW Opry Show) was founded in 2007 by then-12 year old, Mikayla Jo. With the goal of bringing a quality, family-friendly music show to Southwest Oklahoma, Mikayla Jo has invited hundreds of guests to perform on the show throughout the years. The Opry has showcased Grammy-winning artists, Branson stars, and national TV stars from shows like American Idol, The Voice, and America’s Got Talent. With the mission of making a difference through music, founder, Mikayla Jo, has donated more than $8,500 in past ticket proceeds to various nonprofit organizations.

Each show features the Southwest Opry Singers, a trio made up of Ken Waugh, Mikayla Jo and her mom Traci Balderas. The show’s guest performers for this Saturday, Nov. 14 include 2015 National Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, Bella Brown; Texas Country Music Hall of Fame’s 2015 People Choice Winner, Tanner Young; Sheena Hines; and Nathan Rushin.

Tickets for the 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday concert can be purchased at Gator’s Western Wear in Altus, or by calling (580) 563-2424. Be sure and ask about their special group rates and package deals. Kids 12 and under are admitted free with paid adult tickets.
