October is two thirds over already? Where did it go? Halloween is just next Saturday and that means you only have one full weekend to ride 4-wheelers at Eagle’s Roost ATV Area. Vehicles are prohibited Nov. 1 through March 31. The riding area will be open Saturday, Oct. 31 but not Sunday, Nov. 1. North Shore campgrounds will also be closing for the winter Nov. 1.
The Main Park Campgrounds stay open year-round. Some bathrooms along River Road will be winterized. The bathrooms near the Quartz Mountain Grocery Store and those in Scissortail campground stay open. Quartz Mountain Grocery Store will also be closing for the season on Nov. 1.
The Southwest Opry show is coming to Quartz Mountain on Saturday, Nov. 14. Showtime is 7 to 9 p.m. Performers for the will include Sheena Hines, Tanner Young, Bella Brown, Nathan Rushin and the Southwest Opry Singers of Traci Balderas, Ken Waugh and Miklayla Jo. The Southwest Opry Band includes Bob Avila, Bobby Avila, Mike Price, Lee Hilber and Paul Soliz. Tickets are on sale now.
