Another water-related incident is being investigated at Quartz Mountain State Park today. This follows an incident this past Friday in which two Granite men drowned on the west side of the dam.
According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a water-related missing person search, that began around 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, is still being investigated today as divers with the Marine Enforcement Division were activated to assist on the drowning recovery.
Trooper George Hoyle #600 and Trooper Gary Smith #287 were called to the North Shore Road Area 1 boat ramp at Lake Altus-Lugert for a water-related missing person search last night, and according to the local Highway Patrol office in Altus, the search was still on this morning. No other details about the incident, or a name of the victim, was available at press time.
