Work Center inmate escapes

Altus Police report the escape of a Work Center inmate on Saturday. According to reports, Harrison D. Strable jumped the fence during a fire drill on Saturday.

Strable was most recently incarcerated for domestic abuse with a prior pattern of physical abuse. He was serving a two-year term that began in August 2015.

Prior convictions include second degree burglary, escape from a state penitentiary, assault with intent to commit a felony, concealing stolen property, and burglary.

Strable is described as being 5’ 4” tall, 125 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has several tattoos including full sleeve tattoos on both arms.

He has also been known to go by the name “Butch.”
