Lots of fun during Saturday’s Cotton Pickin’ Chili Cook-Off

The Herring Bank of Altus was just one of the many booths serving up hot and tasty chili on Saturday.

By late morning on Saturday there were crowds of people in downtown Altus sampling chili.


Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma had a booth at the Chili Cook-Off.


Bulldog Chili was served up at NBC Bank.


Horse-drawn wagon rides were available in downtown Altus on Saturday.


The Main Street Altus “Cotton Pickin’ Chili Cook-Off” was held in downtown Altus on Saturday. Chili tasting kits were sold for those attending. The kits were used to try as many of the entries as they would like.

There were plenty of activities for all ages on the square including games, horse-drawn wagon rides, inflatables, food booths, live entertainment and displays. A street dance was also scheduled for Saturday night.
