The Altus City Council and the Altus Municipal Authority meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. The Oct. 6 meeting will begin with the AMA at 6:30 p.m., immediately followed by the regular meeting of the City Council.
The AMA agenda includes receiving invoices for school retro roofs and canopies, as well as an invoice for the purchase of the fire station land.
Budget amendments and the claims list is on the agenda, as is a progress report on the Round Timber Well Field Rehabilitation Project.
The AMA will consider awarding a quote for five new hand-held meter reading computers and hardware to replace the current equipment.
In regular session of the Altus City Council, there are two budget amendments, a report from Main Street Altus, and a single audit engagement letter to consider and possibly vote on.
Next on the agenda are items dealing with well controls and telemetry, a quit claim deed, a dilapidation and lien item, and zoning change items.
Ordinances for zoning are for the classification of the Mesquite Meadows Addition, and the Trails at Kerr Creek Addition.
A contract for services for expenditure of hotel/motel tax revenues between the City and the Altus/Southwest Economic Development Corporation will be discussed, as will an Altus Air Force Base main gate resurfacing project, and asbestos removal for the Altus Senior Activity Center.
In executive session, Council will discuss the City Manager’s employment, and in regular session consider any motions and votes relating to the executive session.
If there is no new business, appointments, comments and reports from the Mayor and Council will be heard before adjourning.
