The second annual Boy’s Bash will be held at the Greer County Fairgrounds in Mangum on Oct. 27. The purpose of the event is to demonstrate to each boy that they are all special and important while encouraging self-esteem, abstinence, staying in school, and achieving the very best for their life.
Although the event is being held in Mangum, any students who are home schooled and are considered to be in the appropriate grade level are invited to attend.
The guest speaker for this year’s event is Chris Cangelose of Stillwater. He speaks to schools in an outreach program called Limitless. It exists to help young people deal with the many issues kids face in today’s culture, and educates them about their valuable purpose and calling in life.
The goal this year is to encourage young men about respecting themselves, their future, aspire to be productive citizens and parents, and their relationship with girls. Their passion is to help each young man know his true identity and be bold, brave and to rise above the social norm in knowing who he is.
