Altus Police are investigating a burglary at the J.C. Penney store, located in the Plaza Shopping Center, 1100 N. Main.

According to reports, police responded to an alarm shortly after 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning. After arriving, police discovered that the suspects(s) entered the store by breaking the glass on the front of the store.

“After entering the store the suspect(s) broke a display case and stole various pieces of jewelry,” said Altus Police Chief Tim Murphy.

Altus Police continue their investigation into this burglary.
