Appointment of committees on School Board agenda

A regular meeting of the Altus School Board will be held Monday beginning at 5 p.m. in the conference room at the administrative center.

Agenda items include reports and comments from the Superintendent on the 2015 ACT scores for Altus High School, the OSSBA/CCOSA conference, and the Region 11 meeting in Lawton.

Consent agenda items include the appointment of the Gifted and Talented advisory committee for 2015-16; appointment of District Professional Development advisory committee for 2015-16; the statewide alternative academy plan for FY 16; use of school facilities; activity fundraisers; sanctioning of parent organizations for 2015-16; and out of state trips.

Retirements, resignations, reassignments, proposed substitutes, time sheet employees, volunteers and extra duty assignments will be considered.

In executive session, proposed new hires will be discussed, and upon returning to regular session action may be taken on employment.

Various financial statements and estimate of needs for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016 will be considered, as well as a quit claim deed unto Lorin J. Winters, and declaring a list of items as surplus to be sold to the public.

If there is no new business, the meeting will adjourn.
