Altus Police are investigating several early Friday morning burglaries. A resident at 1113 Clark Street told police he was awakened shortly before 5 a.m. by someone kicking open his front door. The suspect left before the homeowner could give police a description of the suspect. The victim told police nothing was taken from the residence.
At 3:21 a.m. Friday, the resident at 3201 Teal Cr. reported to police she went to get items from her vehicle, parked in the driveway, and discovered someone had taken some medication and a money order.
At 7:43 a.m., the resident at 309 Pheasant Cr. told police that an unknown suspect had entered their garage and removed items from their vehicle, which parked in their garage.
The same type of report came from residents at 305 Pheasant Cr.; at 7:51 a.m. from 508 Peacock Lane, and them from 517 Peacock Lane.
Police urge all residents to lock vehicles parked in their driveways and make certain that all doors to your residence are also locked.
Also, an overnight theft of a portable welder was reported to police at 8:23 a.m., from J&N Body Shop.
Currently police have no suspects for these reported crimes and continue their investigations.
