Council to award water line project bid

The Altus Municipal Authority and the City Council will have their regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and vote to award a bid on the Falcon Road and Altus AFB Main Gate Waterline Relocation Project.

During the AMA, meeting the AMA will receive an update from Drake Rice and Dave Osborn from OMPA, followed by a presentation update from representatives of Freese and Nichols relating to Round Timber Water Field Wells.

After considering the consent agenda, the AMA will receive a financial and operational report by the Financial Department for the period ending Oct. 31.

The AMA will consider a Resolution to adopt Robert’s Rules of Order, newly revised, 11th Ed. as the rules to govern the rules of procedure for the AMA meetings, effective Dec. 2. This item will also be considered during the City Council portion of the meeting pertaining to the rules of procedure for City Council meetings, effective Dec. 2.

During the City Council meeting, Council will consider to award the Falcon Road and AAFB Main Gate Waterline Relocation Project to Shoestring Enterprises, LLC as the lowest and best bid in the amount of $103,200 and authorize the execution of the contract and other pertaining documents. Council will also consider a Resolution to appoint Lisa Drury, owner of Shoestring Enterprises, LLC., as purchasing agent for the project.

Council will consider an Ordinance to amend Sections 28-53 and 28-54 of the Altus Code 1980 to revise the City’s policy on outdoor lighting.

Council is set to enter into executive session for a negotiation update between the City of Altus and the F.O.P. #120, and in open session vote to approve execution of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the City of Altus and the FOP for FY 2013-14.

After new business and Mayor’s appointments, there will be comments and reports from the City Administrator, Council members and the Mayor before the meeting adjourns.
