Ray’s first paying photography assignment was on a ¼-mile dirt track in Michigan. It was dirty work and Ray soon replaced the racetrack with a portrait and wedding photography. Ray work for John Smith Studios. Ray moved here to Altus from Michigan where his photography has become his hobby. His photographic interests have evolved over the years as technology advanced in the digital arena allowing him more time to experiment in using High Dynamic Range photography (HDR).
The class is geared toward the advanced beginner. Bring your camera’s manual with you for help with some of the settings. Ray will cover some of the basics, lighting, composition and HDR and other areas the student is interest in.
To see some of Ray’s work first hand stop by the Altus Public Library where many of his beautiful photographs are on display during the month of August.
