Kathy Elaine Freeman, 69, Altus, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Magnolia Creek Skilled Nursing and Therapy.

Kathy was born on December 21, 1954, in Quanah, Texas to Delvin and Billie (Norris) Freeman. She grew up in Eldorado, Oklahoma and attended schools there. Kathy participated in basketball and cheerleading and was the valedictorian of the Class of 1973. She went on to graduate with honors with a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. After teaching for two years, she began a longtime career as a legal secretary until her retirement.

Kathy loved spending time with Mom, shopping, growing flowers, and arts and crafts. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends as she goes to her Heavenly home to be with Mom, Dad, and Sis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ed Olson.

Those to cherish her memory are her two brothers, Gary Freeman and Danny Freeman and wife, Gaylene; a niece, Amber McMahon (Jacob); a nephew, Seth Freeman (Kali); and a great nephew, Kastin McMahon.

The Freeman family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, April 22, 2024, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
