Dec. 3, 1936 – Feb. 14, 2024 August (Augie) Charles Missioni passed away quietly at the age of 87 in Altus, Oklahoma February 14, 2024.

He was born in Sandusky, Ohio, December 3, 1936, to Charles Missioni and Audrey Gardner Missioni. Augie met the love of his life, Sandra (Sandie) Alice Potter and they married December 21, 1957.

They were married 60 years until the passing of Sandie, March 24, 2018.

Augie and Sandie had three daughters, Deborah Gallardo, Donna Stuart, and Pamela Wittman.

Augie served his country by joining the armed forces as a private first class in the army, December 28, 1954, through December 21, 1957. He then enlisted in the Air Force on June 12, 1958, through July 31, 1975. While in the Air Force, the family traveled the world. Augie retired in California.

He went on to work at the public water agency for both City of Fairfield and forest hill. Upon retirement from the water agency, both Augie and sandy chose to buy a motorhome and travel the United states. They ended their travels in Benson, Arizona.

They later relocated to Altus for support from family.

Augie and Sandie enjoyed traveling on road motorcycles with their good friends frank and gene johnson period while living in forest hill comma Augie volunteered and was a member of the lions club. Both he and Sandie participated melodramas which were quite entertaining. Augie Directed some of them.

Augie enjoyed music of all sorts, he played a mean air saxophone! His love of music carried on to his daughters and grandsons. His love for western movies will be memorable.

Augie Was preceded in death by his parents comma’s wife Sandra Alice Missioni, and sosyers Paula Helton and Roxann.

He is survived by his daughters Debra, Donna, and Pam; siblings Judy, David Sr., Rose, and Robert; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Memorial services and veteran honors will be held May 18th, 2024, at 10:00 AM at family life church, 1901 falcon Rd. Altus. Zoom access to the service will be provided.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans organization.
